Our latest coffee route<\/strong><\/a> just finished with our bravest students of the week who decided to also participate to the Sensory and Roasting SCA Certificates.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Their journey started last week with the green coffee course<\/strong><\/a> to learn about the origins, processing and selection of the green beans.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second day we talked about tasting,<\/strong><\/a> and did some interesting practical exercises to improve our ability to recognize aromas and tastes and finally describing a cup of espresso and an introduction to cupping.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then we spent two days learning some italian barista tricks and practicing latte art in our Basic and Advanced Barista Course<\/strong> <\/a>which finished with 11 students taking the SCA Barista Foundation Exam.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

In the Coffee Shop Management Course<\/strong><\/a> Gabriele gave us some tips on how to spot a good location for our caf\u00e8 and understand the needs of our targeted customers to keep our business running at full speed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Helena came for a more coffee related course where we focused on the practical and theoretical aspects of extracting a good cup of coffee whether it\u2019s in a french press, v60 or syphon or many other systems. Her Brewing Foundation Course<\/strong><\/a> was very helpful even for the espresso maniacs since the rules of extraction apply to every type of coffee.<\/span><\/p>\n

The last course was the Roasting Foundation Course<\/strong><\/a> with Marco who taught us the basics (and some more advanced thing too) which will help any coffee entrepreneur to start practicing the art of roasting coffee to maybe open a future company, which is exactly what some of our students are planning to do and we will definitely be happy to support them in their projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

The most important thing is that everyone was happy at the<\/strong> end of the week and we\u2019ve made a lot of new friends from all over the world<\/strong> from Argentina to Hong Kong, Colombia, France, Lebanon, USA, Saudi Arabia, Holland, Bulgaria\u2026 Thank You to all our participants and we hope to see you again soon!!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t
