Everybody knows that breakfast is a very peculiar moment of the Italian way of life. Cappuccino and croissant is a style that Italy has exported worldwide.

In “Breakfast with the expert” you will enjoy an unforgettable breakfast with a coffee expert. Enjoying cappuccino, espresso and Italian pastries you will ride a route along the history and the science of coffee. From the different beans to the roasting and to how the Italian baristas really prepare espresso and cappuccino!

The course starts at 10 a.m. and it is two hours long. The course is hold in a relaxing and famous coffee shop, in the very center of Florence. The price includes cappuccinos and espresso and a selection of croissants.

Program of the course

During the morning you will discover the different varietals and blend of coffee and how they change in the south or the north of Italy. Also you will discover the art of coffee roasting (and we will roast coffee together!) 

Another argument of our breakfast/workshop will be the culture of coffee in Italy, how the coffee arrived in Italy, the oldest bars in Italy, and the curious history of the coffee maker with a mustache, the most famous of Italy: the Moka pot (and we will prepare a coffee with…). You will learn also the codes of interaction between the barista and the Italian clients, the many tricks of the barista and the frantic ritual of the Italian breakfast!

Decaff coffee and juices are available.

Cost

The cost is 45€ including the coffees and croissants at your will. The cost is instead 25€ for aged 14/18 and is free for younger coffee lovers!

Our instructor-Gabriele shares all the techniques and secrets to make a perfect espresso and cappuccino, plus the coffee art which every participants were so excited and enjoyed every hands-on. As part of the Advanced level course, Gabriele also gave us a tour inside their processing plant. A highly recommended tour if you're visiting Florence both for individual who's looking for a career in coffee industry or simply Coffee lovers.
