Espresso Academy in Brazil for the “Semana Internacional do Cafè”
Last week we had the pleasure to visit Belo Horizonte, Brazil, for the “Semana Internacional do Cafè” the most important coffee expo of south america.
Our trainer Simone won a Latte Art contest during the World of Coffee in Amsterdam at Dalla Corte Espresso Machine (partner of our School since many years) stand, and the prize was this amazing trip to the biggest coffee producing country.
Unfortunatly we didn’t have the time for a trip to a Coffee Plantation in Minas Gerais but we had the chance to visit the best Coffee Shop of Belo Horizonte and taste a lot of sweet and amazing brasilian coffee.
We visited OOP, Academia do Cafè, Intelligenza and probably the smallest Coffee Shop of Brazil, Copo Cafe (just three squared meters)
It was the first time that we visited an exibition in a coffee producing country, and we were impressed by the harvesting machines, depulpers, green beans sorters more than in Espresso Machine.
Three days with Dalla Corte team means a lot of fun and the chance to test their amazing machines XT and Mina and their water flow control at the stand with our Specialty Coffee roasted by Caffelab.
In the “Semana internacional do cafè” expo there were four SCA World Championship: World Latte Art Championship, World Coffee in Good Spirit Championship, World Brewers Cup and World Cup Tasters Championship.
The Italian Cup Taster Champion Helena Oliviero, Espresso Academy Trainer, is one of the best 16 Coffee Tasters in the world and we are really proud of her!
Coffee courses in Brazil? For the moment we don’t have any plan but….who knows?
