A new Espresso Academy Dubai is coming really soon!

25 February 2019Mokaflor Project in Bahrain
Since the last months of 2018 there has been some amazing progress on our project in Bahrain:
The plan is to start a chain of coffee shops who will serve Mokaflor Coffee in the most classic “italian style” recipes, this will give customers a chance to try something different from the very common international coffee based “desserts”… At the moment our main partner, Saeed Eftekhryan, is working on the first cafè in the Hala Plaza, Bu Ghazal, and it’s looking awesome: a spacious, well organized, stylish and welcoming shop with very kind staff and already a good flow of customers, many people seem interested in trying our small classic italian cappuccino or the famous refreshing shakerato.
The thing we are focusing on now is to make sure that every barista working in these shops has the knowledge and skills to prepare all the classic recipes following the quality standards of the entire Mokaflor chain. When so much attention goes in the selection of beans, finding the right roast profile for each one, blending them to create balance and uniformity and tasting for quality control, it would be a shame to ruin the customers experience by leaving the final and most important step to an uneducated barista.
One of our Espresso Academy trainers, Robert, just returned from a five day Barista Course inside the new Mokaflor Coffee in Bahrain where he had the chance to teach the local baristas a lot about coffee processing, roasting and, of course, serving:
“We focused on setting a standard for the preparation of all the coffee based drinks, learning the correct way of frothing and managing milk and setting the grinder for consistent and delicious extractions.
It’s also important that every barista is able to answer the most common questions we get from customers like “where’s this coffee from?”, “how was it roasted”, “what’s Arabica?”….”
Of course a few days can only be an introduction to the world of quality coffee but for now we gave our baristas something to work on and practice.
We are looking forward to seeing our brand gaining popularity in this area and thanks to the enthusiasm and determination of our partners we are very optimistic about this project.
