How to reach us
1Arriving by Car
To reach our school, you have two easy exits from the highway: Firenze Scandicci and Firenze Nord. Once there, follow the map we’ll send you via email, and you’ll find us without a hitch!
Got a GPS? Just pop in Via delle Torri 55, 50142 Firenze, and you’re all set.
Good news: our school isn’t in the crowded historical city center, so no parking headaches! You’ll find plenty of free parking spots within 200 meters of the building.
2Arriving by Train
The recommended station is Santa Maria Novella, Florence’s main train station. The easiest way to reach the school from here is by taking the tramvia (Florence’s tram). It’s a simple system with just two lines, so no chance of getting lost! Head towards the Federiga stop.
The ticket costs €1.70 and can be purchased at the platform or onboard using a contactless system. Your ticket is also valid for bus rides.
The tram ride takes about 12 minutes and offers a pleasant view as you cross the Arno River and pass through the scenic Cascine Park.
Once you reach the Federiga stop, the school is about a 7-9 minute walk. Follow the map provided in our email or use your GPS to navigate to Espresso Academy, Via delle Torri 55.
3How long does it take to go from the station SMN to the school?
The tramvia is leaving every 4/7 minutes. Federiga is the 7th stop and takes about 15 minutes to get there. You won’t need more than 30 minutes to reach the school from the station including the short walk.
4Where do I take the tramvia?
Go to the back side of the station, close to track 3-4, there are a few steps to go down to the platform from where the tramvia leaves about every 4/7 minutes.
5Arriving by plane
Three airports serve as great options for reaching Florence and the Espresso Academy: Florence Airport (Peretola), Pisa Airport, and Bologna Airport. While Pisa and Bologna are about 100 kilometers away, they are well connected to Florence via train or shuttle bus.
The travel time to Santa Maria Novella, Florence’s main station, is approximately one hour from Pisa and 45 minutes from Bologna. From there, you can easily reach the Espresso Academy by taking the tram (tramvia).
6Arriving in Camper
Florence is worth a visit and for those who like camping the course could be a reason for a camper vacation. A camper area is about 4km away from the school but you can park directly at the school. Close to Espresso Academy you can easily find supermarkets, shops and restaurants. You can reach the city centre, from the school to the city centre by tramvia in about 15 minutes.
7Arriving by foot or by bike and scooter
Some hero has walked to the school. Who wants to move before or after the course can reach the school from the station in about 45/50 minutes walking going along the river Arno or inside the Park of the Cascine. If you are not such a marathon runner you can easily rent bikes or scooters (just an App, and very cheap).
FAQ
1What is the time limit to register for a course?
There’s no set deadline for registration—it’s even possible to sign up the evening before the course begins. However, enrollment will close as soon as the maximum number of participants is reached to ensure high-quality teaching, especially during practical sessions. We always keep our website updated with information on fully booked courses.
2The courses I’m interested in are all complete? I cannot find a day that fits me?
Send a mail in any case to info@espressoacademy.it , we will be pleased to inform you about the upcoming dates trying to find a waiting list or a solution for you.
3Will there be a break for lunch?
Around 1 PM, we'll take a break and head to the local "Casa del Popolo," a beloved neighborhood eatery just 150 meters away. This unassuming spot is renowned for its hearty portions, affordable prices (typically €6-8), and delicious, often vegetarian-friendly options.
If you're feeling adventurous, you can explore the nearby street food scene. A popular choice is lampredotto, a traditional Florentine dish, available from a food truck about 200 meters away.
Alternatively, for more familiar options, you can find Burger King, Lidl, or Starbucks within a 300-meter radius.
Of course, you're also welcome to bring your own lunch. If the weather permits, we can enjoy our meal in the nearby park, just 150 meters from the school. Otherwise, you can dine indoors in the spaces of the school.
4How do I pay for the course?
Payment for the course can be made on the same day, either by credit card, PayPal, bank transfer, or cash. Installment payments are also available through Stripe.
5Do you have children? And (perhaps) a partner to look after during the course?
Near the coffee school there is a nice park (Villa Vogel) with a huge playground. In case of bad weather in the school there is a room, nearly always available, where the children can get some paper (but please bring your own pencils). Useless to say that there is no limit for Cappuccini and “babyccini”!
