A young Barista and Coffee shop owner that started her coffee career with a small Coffee Truck in Atlanta, Georgia, we introduce you Mattie Rushing

Hi Mattie, how are you? You attended our One Week Coffee Route at the end of July 2019, how you can describe Espresso Academy in three words?

Hi Guys, I can say …. Thorough, Exciting, Knowledgable.

You were already working with coffee, do you thing that what  you learned in Espresso Academy was important for your coffee career?

Yes, I learned very important Coffee Management ideals that I have implemented at more store to increase business and add value to my shop.

Can you can describe your current business and how it all started?

I own a small coffee cafe in Sugar Hill Georgia USA (Rushing Trading Company). We serve fine coffees, loose leaf teas, desserts, cocktails, local beer, wine, breakfast, pastries and lunch. Everything we serve is local and organic. We use a local coffee roaster that only roasts organic beans from micro-lots.

We started in a small coffee truck that goes to the movie sets, festivals and events in Atlanta Georgia. We’ve served coffee on the set of The Avengers, Stranger Things, Ozark and many other films and series shows.

The Espresso Academy provided me with crucial information to grow my business.

What are your future projects?

We hope to expand to two or three shops in the area as well as open a few more coffee trucks. Personally a goal and dream would be to gain as much information as possible, working with the Espresso Academy, even for a short time.
