A new interview of #Happycoffeepeople, today we chat with Natasha E. Cruz, a Portorican girl that has worked as a barista in some Specialty coffee shop in Washington DC, and attended our Espresso Machine Maintenance and Reparation Course.
Hi Natasha, how are you? We start this interview with a classic question: When do you attend Espresso Academy’s Coffee Courses?
I guys, as you probably remember I attended the Espresso Academy Espresso Machine Maintenace and Reparation Course in May 2019, not so long ago!
Can you describe espresso Academy in two ot Three words (or even more)?
Professionalism and passion
Do you think that what did you learn in Espresso Academy was important for your coffee career?
I took the course of Repair and Maintenance of espresso machines, For me it is important to know how the espresso machine works to know when something is not right. Many baristas forget that maintaining an equipment is imperative for them to last. Also if I ever wanted to buy an espresso machine to set up my own business, I will evaluate which machine is in line with my needs because I will know and understand how it works.
Are you working in a coffee business?
Yes, I am working in a coffee business. I am in almost the last chain, but problably the one with more responsability, the barista.
What are your future projects?
My near future projects are to continue with my Youtube channel and my blog about educational content. (where you can find also some interview of our trainers!!)
I would love to continue taking certifications and eventually be able to be the one giving certifications as well. I want to help people grow in this industry!
Thank you Natasha
