How to become a coffee expert
Becoming a coffee expert means being able to follow a long, complex supply chain in which the quality of the coffee, and the consequent price, is defined in various phases. From the species and variety cultivated to the manufacturing process, from the selection of defects, from storage, transport and roasting. Each of these steps can add value or ruin it, in a product that in recent years has been able to evolve from a simple "dose of caffeine" to a truly experiential product.
Becoming an expert therefore means knowing the raw material, sometimes with actual trips to the plantation, knowing how to taste it with cupping techniques and finally knowing how to roast it, to enhance all the aromatic nuances of our coffees.
